Maruti Suzuki Fronx: Maruti Suzuki Fronx made in India will now be sold in Japan. The company has started exporting this car to Japan Maruti Suzuki India said on Tuesday that it has started exporting its sports utility vehicle Fronx to Japan.
More than 1600 Fronx exported
The country’s largest car manufacturer said in a statement, the first consignment of more than 1,600 vehicles left for Japan from Pipavav port in Gujarat. Fronx will be Maruti Suzuki’s first SUV to be introduced in Japan. The company manufactures this model exclusively from its Gujarat plant
Baleno was exported to Japan in 2016
Fronx is Maruti Suzuki’s second model which is being exported to Japan. Earlier in 2016, Baleno was exported to Japan. Regarding this, Maruti Suzuki India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Hisashi Takeuchi said, “Japan is one of the most quality-conscious and advanced automotive markets in the world.
Our exports to Japan are a testimony to Maruti Suzuki’s ability to manufacture world-class vehicles that exemplify cutting-edge technology, exceptional performance, internationally recognized safety and quality standards.”

After being globally unveiled at the Auto Expo 2023, the Fronx was launched in India on 24 April 2023. Maruti Fronx base model price in India starts at Rs. 7.51 lakh and the top model goes up to Rs. 13.04 lakh (avg. ex-showroom).
Maruti Suzuki Fronx has achieved a new milestone by crossing 1.5 lakh unit sales in India since its launch in 2023. The Baleno-based hatchback has achieved this new milestone in just 14 months of sales.
