Citroen C5 Aircross: The month of December was not good for Citroen India in terms of sales. The company sold only 566 vehicles last month. Sales of Basalt Coupe SUVs have also declined. At the same time, C5 Aircross was once again the company’s lowest-selling vehicle. The situation is such that this vehicle has been yearning for customers for months.
In December, only 1 unit of it was sold, and in the last 6 months, its total sales have been only 7 units, out of which its account was not even opened in 2 months. In such a situation, the company has taken a big decision and discontinued the entry-level ‘Feel’ variant of Citroen C5 Aircross.
The cheapest variant discontinued, now C5 Aircross becomes costlier by ₹ 3 lakh.
After the discontinuation of the Feel variant, now buying this vehicle has become expensive. Now its initial ex-showroom price has increased by ₹ 3 lakh. Now, the SUV will be available only in the top-spec ‘Shine’ variant, which is priced at ₹39.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This move could further impact the sales of the C5 Aircross.
Powerful engine and performance
The vehicle is powered by a 1997cc DW10FC 4-cylinder diesel engine that generates 177 PS of power and 400 Nm of peak torque.
Exterior and Interior Design
The car has LED vision projector headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, 3D LED rear lamps, and LED turn indicators on ORVM. The interior has a 31.24 cm customizable TFT instrument cluster and a 25.4 cm capacitive touchscreen, which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
It has a driver seat with electric adjustment, a hands-free electric tailgate, a panoramic sunroof, ‘Metropolitan Black’ interior, ‘Claudia’ leather, and leather-effect cloth.
Comfort and Suspension
Citroen Advanced Comfort Progressive Hydraulic Cushioned Suspension and acoustic laminated front windows and windscreen give it a very comfortable riding experience. It also has a full-size rear seat with an adjustable recline angle, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, and an activated carbon filter with rear AC vents.
