Maruti Suzuki India has introduced an attractive discount on its popular hatchback, the Swift, for January 2025. Customers purchasing this vehicle this month can enjoy savings of up to Rs 35,000. This discount applies to both the 2023 and 2024 model years of the Swift.
Additionally, the company is offering a scrappage bonus alongside the cash discount. The starting ex-showroom price for the Swift is Rs 6.49 lakh, and this promotional offer is valid only until January 31. It is important to note that the company plans to increase vehicle prices within the month.
The new Swift features a completely redesigned interior that exudes luxury. The cabin includes rear AC vents, a wireless charger, and dual charging ports. A rearview camera is also included to assist drivers with parking. The vehicle boasts a 9-inch free-standing infotainment screen, a newly designed dashboard, and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with wireless connectivity. The center console has been revamped, featuring an auto climate control panel similar to those found in the Baleno and Grand Vitara, along with new LED fog lamps.
Engine, Power and Mileage
Regarding its engine, the Swift is equipped with a new Z series engine that significantly enhances fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor. The 1.2L Z12E 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 80bhp of power and 112nm of torque, and it includes a mild hybrid setup. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox. The company claims a mileage of 24.80 kmpl for the manual variant and 25.75 kmpl for the automatic variant.
Safety Features
In terms of safety, the new Swift is equipped with features such as hill hold control, electronic stability program (ESP), a new suspension system, and six airbags across all variants. Additional safety features include cruise control, 3-point seatbelts for all seats, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and brake assist (BA).
