The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is a much-awaited sports bike. The company is expected to launch it in India in August 2025. This entry-level motorcycle, with bold design and performance-oriented features, will be directly competitive at popular price points, thereby competing with models like TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar N160, and Bajaj Pulsar 220F. While the estimated ex-showroom price will amount to ₹1.35 Lakh, this offers a premium ride yet easier to access for urban riders with style and efficiency.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Engine and Performance

The Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 has a 124.7cc single cylinder, 4-valve, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The powerplant is capable of delivering a maximum power of 14.5 PS at 9,250 rpm along with a top torque of 12 Nm at 8,000 rpm. The well-refined and smooth power output makes it quite suitable for urban commutes and occasional highway stints as well. For such rides, the 6-speed transmission perfectly complements it as it would help in fitting it with a wet multi-disc clutch to enable smoother gear shifts and much better control in almost all kinds of terrains.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Design and Build

Built off of a split trellis frame, the Svartpilen 125 rides like a sports naked bike. Given that it also sports raw, minimalist design lines made from rugged lines, it’s also fitted with spoke wheels that give it a retro-modern feel. At 145 mm, the ground clearance for the bike, with an approximate kerb weight of about 146 kg, ensures that it is light in dimension to be handled. The saddle height will be at 835 mm which may be a bit too tall for the lesser tall rider, but for the rider who could handle it, it gives an outright commanding riding position.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Suspension and Braking

For the front suspension, it comprises USD inverted telescopic forks, while at the end, it provides a mono-shock with ten steps adjustability for a balanced and comfortable ride on different road conditions. For brakes, it has disc brakes both in the front and rear end, paired with single-channel ABS for better safety.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Features and Instrumentation

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Deemed fully equipped with the modern features in it, riders will be well served by a fully digital instrument console that comprises a digital speedometer, tachometer, trip meter, odometer, and a clock. Its pass switch, engine kill switch, and low battery indicator work to ensure safety for the riders. A better light, with its halogen headlight, alongside LED taillights and turn indicators, gives ease to riders during their day or night rides.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Tyres and Wheels

There are tubeless tires for the Svartpilen 125, along with a size of 110/70-R17 at the front and a size of 150/60-R17 at the rear, which itself is giving great grip and stability. The wheels are sized at 431.8 mm, which are also adding agility and control to this bike on city roads as well as minor off-road tracks.

Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Rivals

Once the Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 is launched, it will face tough competition in the market due to a bike like the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar N160, Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Suzuki Gixxer 150, Yamaha FZS FI V4, and Honda Hornet 2.0. Those bikes are offering competitive engine capacity and features but the Svartpilen uniqueness of design and brand appeal is going to make a difference in the Indian market.

Expected Price and Launch of Husqvarna Svartpilen 125

It is expected to hit Indian roads in August 2025 and might carry an ex-showroom price of ₹1.35 Lakh. Husqvarna is focusing on the riders who require a reasonably priced sports bike with a premium theme.
