7-seater family cars:- 7-seater family cars have long been a popular option among Indian car buyers, as evidenced by their sales figures. These vehicles are preferred for their large cabin, practicality, efficiency and high resale value.

There are already many options available in this segment, while four new models are going to be launched soon. Let’s know about the key details of these upcoming 7-seater family cars.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift

The Hyundai Alcazar 3-row SUV is likely to hit the Indian market with its facelift update by September or October 2024. This updated model will get slight improvements in styling and interiors while retaining the current engine setup.

Most of the changes will be made to its front fascia, which will feature new LED headlamps with a split pattern along with a grille inspired by the Creta. Spy shots suggest that it may have the presence of an ADAS suite.

Just like the new Creta, the 2024 Hyundai Alcazar facelift will feature a dual screen setup with a 10.25-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch instrument console. However, there will be no changes to its interior layout and engine setup.

Jeep Meridian Facelift

The Jeep Meridian facelift is set to be launched later this year. The SUV is likely to get minor cosmetic changes. Its front grille and front bumper may be slightly updated, along with new silver accents around the fog lamp housing. The new ADAS radar module will be fitted inside the central air intake.

The Meridian facelift will get all the same features as the previous model, including a 9-speaker Alpine-tuned audio system, dual-zone climate control, connected car technology, panoramic sunroof, 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging. The 2024 Jeep Meridian facelift will get a sole 170bhp, 2.0L diesel engine with 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque converter automatic gearboxes.

New Generation Kia Carnival

The fourth generation Kia Carnival will go on sale in India during the festive season of 2024. The MPV will get a straight nose with a new grille with chrome highlights, vertical headlamps with L-shaped DRLs and a slightly updated bumper with a small air intake, which will get an aluminum skid plate.

The L-shaped theme will continue to be found at the rear, with taillamps connected via LED light bars. The rear bumper will get faux silver trim and matte black plastic.

The interior theme will get a minimalistic design with dual 12.3-inch displays, updated AC and audio controls placed below the central screen, front and rear dash cameras, a rotary drive selector, a digital rearview mirror, HUD, an updated digital key and ambient lighting.

In India, the 2024 Kia Carnival will continue to get the same 201bhp, 2.2L turbo diesel engine with automatic transmission.
