The Hyundai i20 has been one of the consistently good-performing cars in the hatchback segment for the last several years. Its current generation model was introduced in 2020.

Hyundai i20 Facelift

In this year, Hyundai introduced the facelift model of i20 in international markets and now preparations are underway for its launch in India. However, it will be interesting to see how much the India-spec i20 facelift matches its global model. There is no major change in its exterior.

Only some cosmetic updates will be seen. Compared to the current triangular shape housing. it gets arrow-shaped inlets on the sides of the bumper. Its headlamps and DRLs are similar to the current model. The Hyundai logo has been given from the grille to the lower part of the bonnet. There is no change in the bonnet design.

Its side profile is also similar to the current model. However, now it has new alloy wheels. At the rear, Hyundai has made some changes to the faux diffuser and bumper. The reflectors have also been redesigned. There is no change in the tail light. The new Hyundai i20 facelift can get some new color options and some dual-tone colors.

Interior

There are not many changes in the basic layout of its interior. However, it is expected to get some important instrument upgrades. including dual-dashcam, paddle shifters and an updated digital instrument console.

Paddle shifters are already available with the N Line variant of the i20. The seats can be offered in a new color theme. Hyundai can also offer ADAS in the i20. Its Europe model also gets ADAS. It can be given in the top-spec variant. All these updates will also be available in the N Line variant.

Powertrain

The engine option of the 2024 Hyundai i20 facelift will be kept the same as the current model. In which a 1.2-liter petrol engine generates 83 PS of power and 114.7 Nm of torque with a 5-speed manual transmission. While the power output of 88 PS is available with IVT gearbox

While the second 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine generates 120 PS power and 172 Nm torque. It comes with a 7-speed DCT transmission. The i20 is usually ranked third among the best-selling premium hatchback cars in the country, while the Baleno and then the Tata Altroz are sold the most.
