Hyundai has always positioned its cars as premium offerings on a budget. It has built this image by offering premium features and interiors at an affordable price.
However, as the market is maturing, Hyundai is looking to raise its game. It wants to establish itself as a truly premium brand with cars like the Tucson and the IONIQ-5. Outside India, Hyundai has premium SUVs like the Palisade.
Hyundai Palisade 2023 – Dimensions
Dimensions-wise, the Palisade measures 4980mm in length, 1976mm in width, and 1750mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of the 2900mm and also has a total ground clearance of the 200mm.
What about the design
The Palisade recently got a facelift that gave it a more aggressive front look. The front design of the great Venue facelift takes heavy much inspiration from the Hyundai Palisade.
On the side, you can see the large overhang and the massive size of the Palisade. At the very rear, we will have C-shaped tail lamps and the dual exhausts.
Features
Globally, the Palisade comes with a 3.8-litre V6 engine. It would be a dream if Hyundai brought it to India.
However, it is unlikely to happen given the costs involved. So what engine could it come with. Hyundai could also bring back the best 2.2-litre diesel engine that provide pro powered the Santa Fe in India.
Hyundai will have to re-tune the engine to suit the needs of the Palisade. We expect it to come with an automatic gearbox only.
Hyundai Palisade 2023 – Interior
Hyundai cars are known for their features, and the same is true for the Palisade. The dashboard is neat, with only the floating infotainment system being a distraction.
This 10-inch infotainment system is also connected to the designed instrument cluster. Hyundai has given it a greyish interior, giving the cabin an airy look.
What about the features
Globally, the Palisade comes with a 12-speaker Harman audio system, wireless connectivity, ventilated seats, ambient lighting, and more. It also comes with ADAS features for added safety.
Will it come to India
Now coming to the most important question, can it come to India? In 2020, Hyundai was thinking to evaluate the Palisade for India.
However, that never been materialized, and it looks a like it will be remained so for a few years.
But as for the Indian market grows, Hyundai will need to provide diversify for gits portfolio by bringing the cars like the Palisade in India.
