The Indian auto sector is rapidly becoming electric. The journey of electrification that started from the road has now reached the fields.
AutoNxt has been launched the India’s first electric tractor AutoNxt X45 in the market. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde was also present at the launch of this electric tractor.
The company’s CEO Kaustubh Dhonde told “The starting price of this electric tractor is Rs 15.00 lakh. However, this does not include the subsidy on electric vehicles. The subsidy will depend on different states, after which its price will be further reduced.”
How is the country’s first electric tractor
AutoNxt X45 is similar to a traditional tractor in terms of appearance and design. Kaustubh Dhonde says that it has been designed for heavy-duty which can do all the work related to agriculture in India.
This amazing electric tractor will have been playing an important role in overcome the cost of farming. In this, the company has been given an electric motor of 32 KW capacity which can generates a maximum power of the 45 HP.
It has a battery pack of 35 KWHr capacity which can work for 8 hours in about 8 acres of land on a single charge.
Kaustubh says that its range may be slightly reduced during heavy duty. But this amazing tractor can do work for at least 6 hours on the single charge only.
Along with this, the company is offering two different charging options. It can be easily charged by connecting it to the home socket (15A).
With a regular (single-phase) charger, its battery will take about 6 hours to fully charge, whereas with a three-phase charger, its battery can be fully charged in just 3 hours. Its loading capacity is 10-15 tonnes.
Low maintenance, huge savings
The company says that apart from agricultural work, this tractor is also suitable for metal manufacturing, cement manufacturing, the construction industry, airport, defence, and biomass-related work.
Most importantly, it is fully electric, so a lot of money spent on diesel can be saved. The company is saying that its maintenance is also very low.
Its running cost is much lower than any diesel tractor. This tractor gives high torque and intense acceleration for better performance.
Quiet work
Being an electric tractor, it is very peaceful to use. That is, it can be easily used in residential areas without any noise.
Usually when the diesel tractors has been used, their engines make a very noise. But with this tractor, you can do your work quietly.
How long will the battery last
This is a big question that comes to the mind of every electric vehicle buyer. According to the information given on the official website of the company, the battery life cycle of this electric tractor is 3000.
That is, its battery can easily run for about 8 to 10 years. However, it also depends on the load given on the vehicle, usage, and temperature range.
Kaustubh Dhonde said that this electric tractor is available for sale all over India. At present, we have launched X45, after this two more models (25HP and 60HP) will also be introduced, on which work is in progress.
