Kia has introduced its second sub-compact SUV Siros in the Indian market. The company has placed it above the Sonet in its portfolio. With Siros, the company aims to provide better interior space and features while taking advantage of the low tax on sub-4-meter vehicles.
The prices of Siros will be announced in February 2025. At the same time, its booking will start from January 3. In such a situation, if you are confused about which of the Kia Sonet and Siros to buy, then we are talking about the exterior, interior, and safety of both.
Kia Siros Vs Sonet- Exterior
Panoramic sunroof, flush-type door handles, and 17-inch alloy wheels make Siros different. Sonet gets a single-pan sunroof, pull-type handle, and 16-inch alloys. However, the Sonet gets connected to LED tail lights and dual-tone body color. Both SUVs get features like automatic headlights, daytime running lights (DRLs), and roof rails.
Kia Siros Vs Sonet- Interior
Talking about the interior, the Siros’ Trinity display – touchscreen infotainment (12.3 inches), driver display (12.3 inches), and touchscreen panel for HVAC control (5 inches) is larger than the Sonet’s display for infotainment and instrumentation, each of which is 10.25 inches.
The special thing is that the Sonet also misses out on a digital climate control panel, dual-tone dashboard, leatherette upholstery, eight speakers (seven in Sonet), and reclining, sliding, and ventilated second-row seats. The Siros offers 465 liters of boot space after the second-row seats are down. Whereas in the Sonet it is only 385 liters.
Kia Siros Vs Sonet – Safety
Talking about safety features, Kia is offering six airbags as standard across its line-up in India. The Siros and Sonet share safety features like a 360-degree parking camera, front and rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, three-point seat belts for all passengers, electronic stability control (ESC), ABS with EBD, all-wheel disc brakes, and tire pressure monitor. In the Siros, Kia has added Level 2 ADAS (Level 1 in Sonet), an electronic parking brake (EPB), and front and rear side sensors.
