Kia Syros Ev: The demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in India is steadily rising. Automotive manufacturers are actively working to transition their petrol and diesel models to electric alternatives. Experts predict that the prices of electric cars will decline in the near future, supported by the government’s budget announcement to reduce the cost of lithium-ion batteries.

Kia Syros and Kia Syros Ev

Kia India has introduced its new SUV, the Syros, with plans for an electric variant to be launched shortly. The anticipated price for the Syros EV is expected to fall between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 20 lakh, positioning it to compete with the Tata Nexon EV.

Media reports suggest that the Syros EV may feature battery packs of 42kWh and 49kWh, providing a WLTP-rated range of 300 km and 355 km, respectively. The market launch of the Syros EV is projected for the period between January and March 2026, and some design modifications may also be implemented.

The ex-showroom pricing for the new Syros ranges from Rs 9 lakh to Rs 17 lakh. The Kia Syros offers a choice between a 1-liter turbo-petrol engine and a 1.5-liter diesel engine. The 1-liter turbo-petrol engine, when paired with a manual transmission, is expected to deliver a mileage of 18.20 kmpl, while the automatic variant is projected to achieve 17.68 kmpl.

In contrast, the 1.5-liter diesel engine with a manual gearbox is anticipated to provide a mileage of 20.75 kmpl, and the automatic version is expected to yield 17.65 kmpl. These mileage figures are provided by the manufacturer, but actual performance may vary based on daily driving conditions.
