Kia Motor will launch its new SUV Kia Syros today i.e. on 19 December. This will be Kia’s fifth SUV in India and it has been designed in a special way. Kia India is calling it a ‘new species of SUV’ because its design and features will be different from other SUVs. In the Indian market, it will compete with Tata Nexon and Maruti Suzuki Brezza.

Design of Kia Syros

The design of Kia Syros is slightly different from other SUVs. Its look has a new and different style, which will be different from other SUVs. It can have a design similar to an RV. This is Kia’s first SUV, which has been designed under the company’s new Design 2.0 philosophy.

Features of Kia Syros

Kia Syros can be introduced as a premium sub-compact SUV, which will have very good features. It can have features like a dual-screen setup, touchscreen infotainment system, digital driver display, and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Apart from this, features like ventilated seats, push-button start/stop, 360-degree parking camera, wireless charger, and panoramic sunroof can also be found in it. For safety, safety features like ISOFIX child seat mounts and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) can be provided.

Specifications of Kia Syros

Both petrol and diesel engine options can be available in Kia Syros. The petrol variant can get the power of a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine and the diesel variant can get the power of a 1.5 liter engine. For power transmission, it is expected to get the option of 6 speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed dual clutch automatic gearbox.

Competition of Kia Syros

Kia Syros will compete with SUVs like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 300, and Hyundai Venue. The new SUV will be launched in the range between Kia Sonnet and Seltos. Through Syros, Kia is eyeing those customers who can spend more money on buying an SUV than Sonnet.
