Kia India’s new SUV Kia Syros has entered the market. This Kia car is based on its popular model Kia Sonet. Still, it is quite different in terms of design and features. That’s why this car is going to fit between Sonet and Kia Seltos in Kia’s lineup. In such a situation, it remains to be seen whether it will be able to compete with Hyundai Creta or Mahindra XUV 3X0 in the market.
Design of Kia Syros
Kia Syros is unique in terms of design. Its inspiration is taken from the recently launched Kia electric car EV9. While it has a skid plate and Clamshell bonnet in the front. On the back side, its look looks quite similar to WagonR. It has L-shaped tail lamps and 17-inch alloy wheels also come in it. While the span of its window gives it the most unique look. In this way, the overall look becomes unique.
The wheelbase, ground clearance, and height of both cars are quite the same. Syros is better in just one case, that is the boot space of the car. In Syros it is 465 liters, while in 3XO it is 364 liters. Its boot space is also increased from Creta, which comes with a boot space of 433 liters.
Features of Mahindra 3XO and Syros
If we leave aside the Hyundai Creta, then there are many similarities between the Kia Syros and Mahindra XUV 3XO. Like in both the cars you get ventilated seats. In Syros, the option of a ventilated seat is also available at the backside. Both cars have common features like a wireless charger, rear AC vents, rear USB port, climate control, digital cluster meter, power steering, height adjustability panoramic sunroof, and ADAS Level-2.
How much power does the engine have
For the first time in the Kia Syros, a turbo petrol engine has been given with manual transmission. The petrol variant will give the power of a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine and the diesel variant will give the power of a 1.5 liter engine. The petrol engine generates 115 bhp of power and 178 Nm of torque. The diesel variant generates 113 bhp of power and 250 Nm of torque.
For power transmission, it has 6 speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox options. While the base model of the Mahindra XUV 3XO comes with a 1.2-liter petrol engine. It generates 110 bhp of power and 200 Nm of torque.
How much will it cost
While the price of the Mahindra XUV 3XO starts at Rs 7.79 lakh, the company has not yet disclosed the price of the Kia Syros. Still, it is expected to start from Rs 9 lakh. The starting price of the Hyundai Creta is more than Rs 10 lakh. In this way, this car can offer many different features to people in its segment.
Advanced ADAS will be available in Kia Syros
If you look overall, the most direct competition will be seen between Kia Syros and Mahindra XUV 3XO in the market. In such a situation, in terms of design and look, Mahindra’s car gives a better on-road presence. On the other hand, the Kia Syros comes with many advanced features. Only after the price of Kia Syros is revealed, it will be known how it will compete with Mahindra XUV 3XO in the same price range or category.
