Mahindra has taken a big step by launching its two new electric SUVs, BE 6 and XEV 9e, in the Indian market. The deliveries of both these electric vehicles are going to start from mid-March 2025. They were launched in November 2024, and have received more than 30,000 bookings on the very first day of booking. Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e

Mahindra has announced that deliveries of the BE 6 and XEV 9e will begin from mid-March 2025. Only the top-spec version, i.e. Pack Three, will be delivered in the first phase. Deliveries of the Pack Three Select version will begin from June 2025, while the Pack Two version will be delivered in July 2025. Deliveries of the Pack One and Pack One Above versions will begin from August 2025.

Mahindra BE 6: Features and Specifications

If we talk about its features and specifications, Mahindra BE 6 is a premium electric SUV, which comes with many advanced features. It has a 12.3-inch dual-screen setup, one of which is an infotainment screen and the other is an instrument cluster. Apart from this, it includes features like two-spoke steering wheel, illuminated logo, large sunroof, 16-speaker audio system, automatic parking function, ADAS suite, and 360-degree camera.

Mahindra XEV 9e: Features and Specifications

Now talking about the features and specifications of Mahindra XEV 9e, this is another premium electric SUV that comes with a triple-screen setup. It has three 12.3-inch screens, which are powered by Mahindra’s Adrenox software. The touchscreen infotainment system and driver display are seamlessly integrated. Other features include wireless smartphone charger, 16-speaker audio system, panoramic sunroof, automatic parking assistance, and ADAS suite.

Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e: Performance

So let’s now talk about the performance of both. Both electric SUVs, BE 6 and XEV 9e, are based on Mahindra’s INGLO architecture. There are two battery pack options: 59 kWh and 79 kWh. These are lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs. According to Mahindra, they can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.

Both SUVs have a peak torque of 380 Nm, and come with a rear-wheel drive setup. They also feature driving modes – Range, Everyday, and Race – as well as a boost mode and a one-pedal drive mode.
