Mahindra has launched its much-awaited electric SUV, Mahindra XUV e9 Pack 3 in India. The ex-showroom price of this top-spec electric SUV has been kept at ₹ 30.50 lakh, which does not include the price of the home charger. This EV is packed with many premium features, and its futuristic design gives it an attractive and premium look.

Booking of this EV will start from February 14 and customers will start getting its delivery from March 14. With the ‘Three for Me’ program, customers can bring home the XUV e9 Pack 3 at an EMI of ₹ 45,450. Let’s know about the features of this EV in detail.

Design

Talking about the futuristic design of Mahindra XUV e9, it gets a new front grille and Mahindra’s electric logo. Apart from this, low-set headlamps have been installed in it. This EV runs on 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It has a coupe SUV-like roofline and connected tail lamps, which give it a sporty look.

Interior

Talking about the interior, this electric SUV has many great features, such as a segment-first triple digital display, powered and ventilated front seats, panoramic glass roof, multi-zone climate control, and HUD (heads-up display) with augmented display. All these features provide a premium driving experience.

Powertrain and battery performance

The Mahindra XUV e9 Pack 3 has a large 79kWh battery, which generates 285bhp of power and 380Nm of torque. It powers the rear wheels through a single-speed gearbox. It has a range of 656 km, which makes it suitable for long-distance trips as well.

Charging Time and Drive Modes

Talking about the charging timing of Mahindra XUV e9 Pack 3, it takes only 20 minutes to charge it from 20-80% with a 175kWh DC fast charger. There are two options to charge it from a home charger: 7.3kWh and 11.2kWh. Controllable regeneration and multiple drive modes are also available in this EV, which makes driving even more customizable.

Safety

All variants of this EV have many safety features like 7 airbags, ISOFIX child seat mounting points, TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system), electric parking brake, and level-2 ADAS (advanced driver assistance system).

Who does XUV e9 compete with

This electric SUV will currently compete with BYD Atto 3. In the future, its rivals will also include the Tata Harrier EV and Tata Safari EV.
