Maruti Suzuki will launch its electric car e-Vitara next year. According to reports, the company is going to introduce it at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. It is expected that it will be launched soon after this event. The reason behind this is it’s TVC.
The company has shown the e-Vitara moving fast through the snow in the TVC in Japan. However, this TVC is for the Japanese market. The TVC of the Indian market can also come out in the coming days. Let us tell you that Toyota is also working on the Urban Cruiser EV on the same platform.
The production of both these electric SUVs will be done at Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant in India. The e-Vitara is a global product and will be launched in markets like Europe and Japan. There is also a lot of possibility of this vehicle being launched in India. Ahead of the launch, Suzuki has released a new TVC showing the Vitara moving fast through the snow, which shows its SUV credentials.
Expected Features of the New Suzuki e-Vitara
The new Suzuki e-Vitara was introduced at EICMA 2024 in Milan. In terms of design, the e-Vitara has thick cladding all around, chunky wheel arches, Y-shaped LED headlamps, connected taillamps, and a thick rear bumper. Then, the charging port is placed on the front left fender. Talking about the rear door handles, they are located on the C-pillar.
Talking about the interiors, the e-Vitara will get a feature-packed cabin with dual dashboard screens, wireless charger, automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, cruise control, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold function, and Level 2 ADAS suite.
The Maruti e-Vitara will come with two battery pack options. It will get one 49kWh and the other 61kWh pack. The former will be offered only in 2WD configuration, the latter will get two drivetrains 2WD and 4WD.
Speaking at the teaser release of the e-Vitara, the company’s senior executive officer Partho Banerjee said that the e-Vitara reflects our commitment towards sustainable mobility and technological innovation. We believe that to promote the adoption of electric vehicles, we need to create a holistic ecosystem that makes the journey of battery EV ownership easier for our customers.
