Electric car: The coming time is going to be of clean vehicles like electric cars. Almost all the big car manufacturers in India have launched their electric models.

At the same time, now the country’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is also going to enter this race.

The company can soon launch an electric car with a powerful battery and a range of up to 500 km in India. The company’s CEO and MD Hisashi Takeuchi has also indicated this.

He said that Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) will launch an electric vehicle with a range of 500 km, which will be powered by a 60 kilowatt-hour battery and the company will have many such products. He also highlighted the company’s aim to significantly increase exports by 2030. Hisashi shared this information at the 64th annual convention of industry organization SIAM held on 10 September.

Electric cars will be exported from India

Hisashi also said that Maruti will also export these EVs to markets like Europe and Japan to increase customer confidence. The company will come up with a variety of solutions for its EV customers to address their concerns related to buying an EV. For this, the carmaker will use the strength of its network to provide after-sales customer support to customers.

In the domestic market, Maruti is looking to use all kinds of technologies in its cars to tackle carbon emissions. Apart from electric and hybrid cars, the automaker is also looking at developing models around bio-fuel and hydrogen, including technologies like hydrogen, strong hybrid, biofuel or powertrain options to reduce oil consumption and CO2 emissions.

The final model of Maruti eVX can be revealed between 14-20 January. At the same time, its launch can happen in April 2025. This car will come with modern features, such as Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), and its price can be between Rs 20-25 lakh.

What will be the features of Maruti’s electric car

Maruti’s electric car will be equipped with a 60 kilowatt hour (KWH) lithium-ion battery which will offer a range of 500 km to the car on a single charge. If we talk about the features of the upcoming Maruti Suzuki EVX, then it can get advanced safety technology like wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, digital instrument cluster, drive modes, automatic climate control, wireless charger, ventilated and powered front seats, adjustable headrests and level-2 ADAS.
