Now the company is planning to add to its mileage list by introducing a strong hybrid car next year. The company currently has several models of strong hybrids in its portfolio, but the mileage of the new hybrid car will be more than 35Kmpl.

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota are preparing for the transition to electric mobility in 2025. Along with this, Maruti is accelerating efforts to broaden its optional fuel technology and offer hybrid options in multiple price segments.

The carmaker is likely to give preference to the upcoming locally manufactured HEV system and high fuel efficiency. The petrol engine in these hybrid cars will be used as a range extender.

A new Z12E engine will be used

The upcoming Fronx facelift can be launched next year. The company will use strong hybrid technology in it. This system will include the Z12E engine, which was first introduced with the new Swift.

In such a situation, the facelifted Fronx will also become the first sub-four-meter SUV with hybrid technology. It is believed that its fuel efficiency will be more than 35Kmpl. Along with the hybrid setup, Fronx can also see minor cosmetic changes.

After its launch at the 2023 Auto Expo, Fronx has emerged as a very popular SUV for Maruti. Fronx has sold 1 lakh units in the domestic market in the last 7 months. Competing with models like Hyundai Xcent and Tata Punch in India, Fronx is also the second model of Maruti Suzuki to be exported to Japan. It is following in the footsteps of Baleno. Which made its way to the Japanese market in 2016.

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota have also achieved significant success with strong hybrid variants of the Grand Vitara and Urban Cruiser Hyrider. As both Maruti Suzuki and Toyota gear up for their electric push in 2025, Maruti Suzuki is also looking to broaden its hybrid offerings across multiple price points.
