33 percent CNG car sales
Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India, informed that the contribution of CNG cars in sales in the first quarter of this financial year was 33 percent. The demand for CNG cars is increasing continuously and for this the company is continuously increasing production.
Share of CNG cars will increase
Maruti Suzuki CEO Partho Banerjee hopes that by the end of this decade, the share of CNG vehicles in the company’s lineup will reach 35 percent. Last financial year, Maruti sold around 4.50 lakh CNG vehicles, but this financial year the company expects to sell more than six lakh CNG vehicles. The company has sold 7671 units of the CNG variant of the mid-size SUV Grand Vitara.
CNG is available in 14 models
Maruti launch the maximum CNG car model in the market. Maruti offers CNG in a total of 14 models including Alto K10, S-Presso, Wagon R, Celerio, Dzire, Brezza, Ertiga, Eeco, Baleno, XL6, Francox, Grand Vitara.
There is demand in the market for more economical new Swift
Maruti launched the new generation Maruti Swift 2024 on 9 May 2024 at Rs 6.49 lakh (Maruti Swift Price). According to maruti company, the new generation Swift gives better mileage comparison of old Swift. Due to being more economical, the demand for the new Swift is also increasing. Since its launch, about 54550 units of this hatchback car have been sold so far (Swift 2024 sales in India) and on an average more than 18 thousand Swifts are being sold every month.
