Maruti Swift: The purchase of Maruti Suzuki vehicles is set to become more costly starting February 1, 2025. The company had previously announced in December 2024 that it would raise car prices from January 2025; however, this increase did not take effect at that time. Consequently, customers should now prepare for the forthcoming price adjustments. The new Swift, part of the company’s lineup, will also see a price increase beginning tomorrow.

Features

The Swift boasts a luxurious interior, featuring rear air conditioning vents, a wireless charger, and dual charging ports. Additionally, it is equipped with a rearview camera to facilitate parking.

The vehicle includes a 9-inch free-standing infotainment display and a newly designed dashboard. This infotainment system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay with wireless connectivity. The center console has been revamped, incorporating an automatic climate control panel akin to those found in the Baleno and Grand Vitara. Furthermore, it features new LED fog lamps.

Powered by an innovative Z series engine

Under the hood, the Swift is powered by an innovative Z series engine, significantly enhancing fuel efficiency compared to its predecessor. The all-new 1.2L Z12E 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine produces 80bhp and 112nm of torque, and it includes a mild hybrid system. Buyers can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

25.75 kmpl mileage

Regarding fuel efficiency, the company claims a mileage of 24.80 kmpl for the manual FE variant and 25.75 kmpl for the automatic FE variant. All variants will come equipped with hill hold control, electronic stability program (ESP), a new suspension system, and six airbags. The vehicle also features impressive safety attributes, including cruise control, 3-point seatbelts for all seating positions, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), and brake assist (BA).

Presently, the ex-showroom price for this model starts at Rs 6.49 lakh, with the top variant priced at Rs 6.45 lakh. A potential 4% price hike could result in an increase ranging from Rs 27,160 to Rs 40,560.
