New Kia Clavis: Kia Motors is preparing to launch its new sub-contact SUV in the Indian market very soon. This SUV is going to compete directly with vehicles like Tata Punch and Hyundai Exter.

Kia clavis design

The design of the new generation upcoming Kia Calvis is going to be very high-tech and futuristic. It has a new and silk LED headlight DRL with small projector LED headlight setup at the front and a skid plate with silver finish at the bottom and a connected LED at the front. In the side profile, it will be operated with 19 inch alloy wheels, along with this it has also been given glassy black finish and roof rails.

At the rear, there is going to be a silver skid plate and spoiler with an inverted C-shaped connected LED tail light in the middle. It is going to be much more advanced and high-tech than other vehicles present on the road.

Kia clavis Features

In the features, it is going to get the facility of a large touchscreen infotainment system with digital instrument cluster and Apple CarPlay connectivity with Android Auto. Apart from this, it is going to get electronic sunroof, 360 degree camera, ventilated seat with height adjustable driver seat, connected car technology, USB charging socket with AC vents at the rear, wireless mobile charging, cruise control, automatic climate control and premium sound system.

Among the safety features, electronic stability control with level one ADAS technology, tire pressure monitoring system, reverse parking sensor and hold haul assist are going to be available.

Engine

Under the bonnet, the Kia Calvis is expected to be powered by the same engine options as the Kia Sonet. It is expected to get a 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates 82 Bhp and 115 Nm of torque. The second is a 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates 114 Bhp and 250 Nm of torque, and the last is a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine that generates 118 Bhp and 172 Nm of torque. All the engine options are expected to get five-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission along with six-speed iMT, six-speed automatic and 7-speed DCT gearboxes.

Price

The Kia Calvis is expected to be priced at around ₹6 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to ₹10 lakh (on-road) in the Indian market. It is expected to be launched by the end of this year.
