New Mahindra Thar: Mahindra is preparing to introduce the five-door Thar Roxx on Independence Day, August 15, 2024. Select Mahindra dealerships have started accepting bookings for this much-awaited lifestyle off-road SUV.
Recently, new information has emerged about the upcoming Mahindra Thar Roxx SUV. The vehicle is now shown in white colour. A new teaser released by Mahindra has also revealed some key features, including a lockable rear differential, ventilated front seats, and hill descent control.
Mahindra Roxx Features
Talking about features, then customers get features like a 10.25-inch digital driver display, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Harman Kardon sound system, automatic AC, push-button start, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats, front and rear centre armrests, and a panoramic sunroof.
Interior of Mahindra Roxx
Talking about interior, then on the inside, it will have a dual-tone (black and beige) theme. Apart from this, the dashboard is adorned with copper stitching. The new Thar Roxx is likely to get the Level 2 ADAS suite of the XUV700, which offers features such as adaptive cruise control, an autonomous emergency braking system, and lane keep assist.
Safety Features of Mahindra Roxx
Talking about safety features, then the new Mahindra off-road SUV is expected to get multiple airbags, 360-degree cameras, hill hold and descent control, electronic stability control, and a tyres pressure monitoring system. The Thar Roxx will get some design changes to make it look different from its three-door version. If reports are to be believed, it will have better off-road capabilities than the three-door Thar.
Engine of Mahindra Roxx
Talking about Engine, then it will come with 160bhp, 2.0L turbo petrol, 175bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol, and 172bhp, 2.2L diesel engine options. It will have two gearbox options in the form of a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic. The SUV will have RWD and 4WD configuration options. These will be reserved for the lower and higher trims respectively.
Price of Mahindra Roxx
Talking about price, then it’s expected to be estimated starting price of Rs 15 lakh, the Mahindra Thar Roxx will compete with the Force Gurkha five-door and the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
