The new Renault Duster has been awaited in the country for a long time. A few years ago, this SUV was discontinued in India due to a lack of updates. However, this model is already available for sale abroad. According to reports, the company is working on a 4×4 model of this popular SUV. A mild hybrid model of this is also going to come. It has been seen many times during testing. The spy shots of this car that have come out so far indicate that this car will be equipped with a petrol-LPG powertrain along with a petrol hybrid.

ECO-G Engine

According to media reports, the test mule of this car has been spotted on the outskirts of Spain. According to the information received so far, Duster can be offered with a 1.2-liter ECO-G engine.

It also has the option of 4X4. This engine has been combined with petrol-LPG technology, which will be seen in the upcoming production model. But the petrol MHEV LPG powertrain is still being tested. The model seen during testing has a side-mounted exit just in front of the left rear wheel. It is believed that this model will not be seen in the final production model.

Talking about the engine, the petrol-LPG will get 150 HP power. It will get a dual-clutch automatic gearbox facility. The all-wheel-drive technology used in it will work like the Jeep Avenger 4xe. This electric rear XL setup will also be used in the Renault Bigster SUV.

Currently, the new Duster is available in the global market with 3 powertrain options including a 1.0-liter petrol engine that gives 100hp power, a 1.2-liter mild-hybrid engine that gives 130hp power, and a 1.6-liter petrol-hybrid with 140hp. In India, the new Duster will compete with vehicles like the Vitara Brezza, Creta, and Nexon. Some changes can be seen in the model coming to India. It is believed that the new Duster can be launched by the end of this year.
