Renault Duster New: A significant update has emerged from the renowned French automotive manufacturer Renault regarding the forthcoming next-generation Duster. Previously, the Renault Duster was available in India, but due to disappointing sales figures, the company decided to discontinue this SUV in early 2022. Recently, there has been speculation about the introduction of its next-generation model in the country around mid-2025.
Launch
However, a recent report indicates that the launch will be postponed to early 2026. Production is set to commence in September of this year. Additionally, Renault plans to offer the new Duster with a three-row seating configuration, accommodating seven passengers. Nissan will also introduce both five- and seven-seater variants of the new Duster SUV. The Renault-Nissan manufacturing facility in Chennai will oversee the production of these SUVs for both domestic and international markets.
Design
In terms of design, many features are expected to draw inspiration from the Dacia Bigster concept. Anticipated design elements include Y-shaped daytime running lights (DRLs), substantial plastic cladding on the wheel arches, 18-inch alloy wheels, rear door handles integrated into the C-pillar, and Y-shaped LED taillights.
Detailed specifications will be disclosed at the time of launch. The updated model is expected to showcase a more advanced interior compared to its predecessor. The SUV is already available in global markets and comes equipped with features such as a 10.1-inch free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a three-spoke steering wheel, a 7-inch fully digital instrument cluster, and rear air conditioning vents. These features are likely to be included in the India-specific version of the Duster.
Furthermore, it is anticipated to offer wireless phone charging, a six-speaker Arkamys 3D sound system, cruise control, multiple airbags, and more. The new Renault Duster may also incorporate an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) suite, featuring lane-keeping assist, automatic emergency braking, and other cutting-edge safety technologies.
