Revolt Motors‘ electric motorcycle Revolt RV1 was launched on Tuesday in the presence of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Gadkari said on this occasion that there is a lot of potential for export of electric two-wheelers from India.
Especially in those markets where Indian manufacturers are already selling bikes with conventional engines. He said that 50 percent of the motorcycles manufactured in India are exported. Major companies like Bajaj Auto, Hero MotoCorp and TVS have a big presence in international markets. The minister asked Revolt Motors to explore markets in neighboring countries as well as Africa and Latin America.
Anjali Ratan, co-founder and chairperson of Ratan India Enterprises, the promoter company of Revolt Motors, said that the company has initially planned to export to Sri Lanka. The company is also exploring export opportunities in Nepal, Africa and Latin American countries.
Revolt Motors introduced two versions of its commuter bike RV1. Its starting price is Rs 84,990 and Rs 99,990. Anjali Ratan later said in a conversation that Revolt Motors plans to introduce one product every year in the next five years.
He said that the company will increase the number of sales network to 500 in the next one to one and a half years, which is currently 125. Ratan said that the number of dealerships of the company is expected to increase to 250 by the end of this financial year.
What is the price of RV1
Revolt RV1 has been introduced in two variants. These are RV1 and RV1+. They have been introduced in four color options. The ex-showroom price of RV1 is Rs 84,990. At the same time, the ex-showroom price of RV1+ is Rs 99,990.
Revolt RV1 will compete with Ola Roadster X. Ola Electric has recently launched the Roadster X, which starts at Rs 74,999. This bike has a 6-inch digital LCD display.
It also has stylish LED headlights and taillights. Both variants have built-in charger storage. Dual disc brakes have been provided. The bike has several speed modes, one of which is reverse mode. This will make parking easier. This bike is coming with wide tires.
