New Delhi: Royal Enfield motorcycles are immensely popular in India, with its 350cc models like the Bullet and Classic being in high demand. The British brand has also successfully introduced several 650cc motorcycles in the Indian market, including the Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650, Continental GT 650, Interceptor 650, and the upcoming Bear 650. Now, Royal Enfield is all set to expand its 650cc segment with the launch of the Classic 650 on Thursday, March 27 in India.
Power and Performance of Classic 650
The Royal Enfield Classic 650 will be powered by a 648cc, air/oil-cooled parallel-twin engine, which produces 47 hp of power and 52 Nm of torque. This engine comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The performance of this engine has already been tested, ensuring reliability and smooth performance.
Comparison with Classic 350
On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 features a 349cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air/oil-cooled engine. This engine delivers 20.2 bhp at 6,100 rpm and a torque of 27 Nm at 4,000 rpm. It also comes equipped with an electronic fuel injection system, ensuring better fuel efficiency and smooth power delivery.
How Much More Powerful is Classic 650?
The Classic 650 is almost twice as powerful as the Classic 350. It combines the styling and charm of the Classic 350 with a parallel-twin engine, offering a balance between performance and classic aesthetics.
In terms of fuel efficiency, the Classic 350 is claimed to deliver 35 km per liter, whereas 650cc motorcycles like the Shotgun 650 offer a mileage of 22 kmpl. The Classic 650 is expected to offer similar efficiency while providing a significant boost in power and riding dynamics.
