The starting price for this SUV is Rs 7.89 lakh. Interestingly, as deliveries begin, the waiting period has already stretched to 4 months. In the initial phase, the company aims to deliver 33,000 units of the Kylaq by May this year.

When it comes to safety, the Skoda Kylaq has aced the crash tests, earning a 5-star rating from the India New Car Assessment Program. It scored an impressive 97% for adult occupant safety and 92% for child occupant safety, making it the safest ICE vehicle in the sub-4-meter SUV category. This achievement has raised the bar for Skoda and boosted consumer confidence in this budget-friendly SUV.

The Skoda Kylaq comes with a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 115hp. The mid-range Signature variant won’t have the 6-speed torque converter automatic option, but it will feature a 6-speed manual transmission. Skoda claims the Kilak can go from 0 to 100kph in just 10.5 seconds. In terms of size, it measures 3,995 mm long, 1,975 mm wide, and 1,575 mm high, with a wheelbase of 2,566 mm and a ground clearance of 189 mm. It boasts impressive boot space of 446 liters, which can expand to 1,265 liters when the rear seats are folded down.
