Tata Harrier EV: Tata Motors is preparing to launch its upcoming Harrier EV this financial year. The company can also present it at the India Mobility Global Auto Expo starting on January 17. Now a new report has come out about Tata Harrier EV.
According to this, this electric car will get a large 75kWh battery pack, which will give a range of more than 500 km. Let us tell you that this will be the 6th electric model in the company’s portfolio. The company’s electric lineup includes Curve EV, Nexon EV, Punch EV, Tiago EV, and Tigor EV.
All-wheel drive expected
According to the new report, the Tata Harrier EV can get an electric all-wheel drive (AWD) system with 2 electric motors. This electric SUV will get a 75kWh battery pack, which can give a range of 500 km on a single charge.
Apart from this, a battery pack of 60kWh capacity can be found in low and mid-spec variants. With this pack, a range of 400Km to 450Km can be obtained on a single charge. This electric SUV will also support DC fast charging.
Features will be taken from Harrier ICE
Now talking about the exterior of the Tata Harrier EV, it will be equipped with a shut-off front grille, new headlamps and LED DRL, aero-style alloy wheels, and different LED taillamps compared to the ICE variant.
The car can get a new bumper, traditional door handle, and 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels at the rear. Its interior will be similar to the diesel-operated model of the Harrier family. At the same time, the features can also be like this model.
5-star safety rating expected
Features like wheel-to-load (V2L) and wheel-to-wheel (V2V) can also be seen in Tata Harrier EV. As Tata Motors is offering in its other electric cars. For safety, like other Tata EVs, it is expected to get a 5-star rating in crash tests.
For this, the company can provide all the necessary safety features in it. The car can also get adjustable damper control in Advanced Terrain Response mode. Its starting ex-showroom price can be around Rs 20 lakh.
