Tata Nexon CNG: Tata’s Nexon compact SUV is set to get the next big upgrade with a CNG-powered model as it has been spotted testing on the roads ahead of its launch, which is likely to be launched later this year. The car that has been spotted testing is a top-spec variant in white colour. According to auto website Carwale, it has been spotted queuing up at a CNG filling station near Pune.

Tata Nexon CNG features

Talking about features, then Tata Nexon has a 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system. Along with this, a 10.25 inch driver display is also provided in the car. Automatic climate control, cruise control, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seat are also being provided in the car. If we look at safety, 6 air bags are being provided in the car. Along with this, ISOFIX child seat anchors are also being provided in the car. For safety, the car also has a 360 degree camera along with a blind view monitor.

Tata Nexon CNG Engine

Talking about engine, then the car that was showcased at the expo was a top-spec model powered by Tata’s 1.2-litre turbo petrol (a first in the segment). In standard petrol form, this engine produces 118bhp/170Nm and with CNG, the output is expected to drop to 100bhp/150Nm which is still quite decent. Officially, Tata has only confirmed a 6-speed MT but we expect a 6-speed AMT option to be added sometime after launch.

Tata Nexon CNG Price

Talking about price, then the CNG-powered Tata Nexon is expected to cost around Rs 80,000 to Rs 1 lakh more than the standard variant. The Tata Nexon CNG is expected to launch in September 2024.
