Tata Punch: There are many models in the sub 4 meter SUV category in the country. Some of them are less than 4 meters, some are equal to it or a little more. Here we are telling about the sales of 13 models of this segment.
Tata and Maruti have dominated this segment. Even though Hyundai Creta won the overall SUV segment last month i.e. in July, Tata Punch remained at number-1 position in the sub 4 meter segment. At the same time, Maruti Brezza also remained at number-2 with excellent sales data.

SUV sales in July 2024
Talking about sub 4-meter (3.8 to 4 meter) SUV sales in July 2024, 16,121 units of Tata Punch, 14,676 units of Maruti Brezza, 13,902 units of Tata Nexon, 10,925 units of Maruti Fronx, 10,000 units of Mahindra XUV3XO, 9,459 units of Kia Sonet, 8,840 units of Hyundai Venue.
Along with 6,037 units of Hyundai Exter, 4,385 units of Mahindra Thar, 2,640 units of Toyota Taser, 2,429 units of Maruti Jimny, 2,011 units of Nissan Magnite and 810 units of Renault Kiger were sold.
Tata Punch Features
Talking about features, then Tata Punch has features like 7-inch touchscreen system, digital instrument cluster, auto AC, automatic headlights, connected car tech and cruise control. From the safety point of view, Tata Punch has got 5 star rating from Global NCAP.
After Tata Nexon and Tata Altroz, now Tata Punch has got 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP. In Global NCAP, Tata Punch has got 5-star rating (16,453) for adult occupant protection and 4-star rating (40,891) for child occupant protection.
Tata Punch Engine
Talking about engine, then Tata Punch has a 1.2 liter Revotron engine. Its engine generates maximum power of 86 PS at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 113 Nm at 3300 rpm. It has a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. Apart from this, customers also get the option of 5-speed AMT in it. Tata Punch is capable of giving 18.97 kmpl mileage in manual transmission and 18.82 kmpl in automatic.
