TATA Sierra EV: Tata Motors holds a significant position in the Indian automotive market, with many of its vehicles recognized for their strong safety ratings. This reputation has led to high anticipation for Tata’s upcoming launches. The company is set to introduce the Sierra EV in India, with its launch timeline now disclosed. The Sierra will be available in two engine variants: an electric vehicle (EV) and an internal combustion engine (ICE) version, with the EV expected to debut first, followed by the ICE model by the end of next year.
The Sierra EV will represent Tata Motors’ premium electric offering, built on a dedicated EV platform. Initially unveiled at the Auto Expo, the Sierra showcased features such as flush door handles and an LED light bar, and it may also include a distinctive side window design.
Attractive features
Inside, the Sierra will boast a panoramic sunroof, a mini information display for the passenger seat, a heads-up display, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), and dual-powered front seats, along with additional features like cooled seating. The new generation Sierra EV is designed to provide more spacious accommodations. It will be equipped with a 55kWh battery pack, offering an impressive range of 550 km. The anticipated price for this EV, set to launch next year, is expected to be around Rs 25 lakh.
Positioned below the Harrier EV
The Sierra will feature a boxy design with a modern aesthetic, measuring 4.3 meters in length, which allows for a more compact shape compared to the Safari and Harrier models. It will be positioned below the Harrier EV while being larger than the Curve. The interior of the Tata Sierra will be designed for comfort, resembling a lounge, and will include a 12.3-inch touchscreen, with a center console that distinguishes it from other Tata vehicles.
