The world’s famous motorcycle company Triumph has introduced new limited edition models of its Rocket 3 bike in the international markets. These models will be available in two trims R and GT. The special thing is that this bike has been introduced with only cosmetic changes. This bike has been designed to pay tribute to America’s great stuntman Evel Knievel.
Special changes in design
The design of these limited edition bikes is inspired by Evel Knievel’s iconic jumpsuit. The fuel tank is decorated with black stripes and stars with a chrome finish. The ‘Triumph’ logo is engraved on the tank, which gives it a premium look.
The special screen start-up animation and Evel Knievel’s signature logo on the gold laser-etched cam cover plate make it even more special. The bike owners will also be given a hardback book, which will contain information about the story of Evel Knievel and the Triumph bikes used during his stunts.
Performance and look
The mechanical specifications of this limited edition bike are the same as its standard variant. The Rocket 3 R comes with a roadster design and has a clean look. At the same time, the Rocket 3 GT is designed as a cruiser, with a tall flyscreen, pillion grabs rail, and slightly forward-set foot pegs.
Big engine
The biggest highlight of the Rocket 3 is its 2,500cc 3-cylinder engine, which is the largest engine found on any production motorcycle. This engine is considered to be one of the most powerful and largest engines in the world. Talking about its power output, it is 165bhp and is capable of generating a peak torque of 221Nm.
Price and availability in India
The Triumph Rocket 3 R and GT are priced at Rs 21.99 lakh and Rs 22.59 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively in India. However, the Evel Knievel Edition is very unlikely to be launched in India.
