The beginning of the year 2025 has been quite exciting for the Indian automobile industry. The Auto Expo 2025 in January and the launch of new cars in February have heated up the market. Now in the last month of March 2025, many new cars and SUVs are going to be launched in the market. Let us know about these new vehicles in detail.

Volvo XC90 Facelift

The Volvo XC90 has been on sale in the Indian market since 2016, and now it is returning with a facelifted version. This new version includes design elements inspired by the EX90 electric SUV. It has a new grille with diagonal slats, slim headlights, refreshed bumpers, dark tail-lamps and new alloy wheels.

On the inside, the XC90 facelift comes with a larger 11.2-inch Google-based touchscreen infotainment system that supports over-the-air updates. There are no major changes to the powertrain, and it will come with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine that produces 250hp of power and 360Nm of torque. It will be sent to all-wheel drive via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series

The Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 Monogram Series is set to make its first appearance in India. This luxury roadster is based on the Mercedes-Benz SL and is said to be Maybach’s sportiest model. Its main features include a dual-tone paint scheme, a new grille with vertical slats and multi-spoke wheels.

Apart from this, it is much quieter than the standard SL Roadster. As a powertrain, it has a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, which produces 585hp power and 800Nm torque. It will be sent to all-wheel drive through a 9-speed automatic gearbox. This car completes the speed of 0-100kmph in 4.1 seconds.

Maruti Suzuki e Vitara

Maruti Suzuki is going to launch its first electric SUV, the e Vitara, in March 2025. In terms of design, this SUV is very similar to the eVX concept previewed in 2023. It has large LED headlights, chunky cladding and 18-inch wheels. The LED light bar at the rear is its special identity.

In the interior, the e Vitara looks quite different and premium from other Maruti Suzuki models. The top-spec variants get features like a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen, a 10.1-inch fully digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fixed panoramic sunroof, 10-way power-adjustable driver seat and ventilated front seats.

Now talking about its battery and range, the e Vitara will come with two LFP battery packs: 49kWh and 61kWh. Both battery packs produce 192.5Nm of torque, but the 49kWh battery produces 143hp of power, while the 61kWh battery produces 173hp of power. Maruti Suzuki claims an MIDC-tested range of 500km for the 61kWh variant.
