Volvo electric car: Volvo Car India has launched the single-motor variant of the XC40 Recharge in the Indian market. Its starting ex-showroom price is Rs 54.95 lakh.
This affordable variant is about Rs 3 lakh cheaper than the existing model. This SUV can be booked by visiting the company’s online portal. Also, it can be booked from the nearest Volvo Car India business partner. This is also Volvo’s affordable electric car.
The XC40 Recharge Single has a 69kWh battery pack, which gives the motor 236bhp of power and 420Nm of torque.
Like its competitor BMW iX1, it claims a WLTP range of up to 475 Km. Its top speed is 180Km/h. Not only this, it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds.
The company is also offering 8 years battery warranty, 3 years car warranty, 3 years service package, 3 years roadside assistance and 5 years membership for digital services on this car. The XC40 Recharge has been manufactured at the Hosakote plant in Bengaluru.
At its launch, Jyoti Malhotra, Managing Director, Volvo Car India said that after the huge success of the XC40 Recharge launched in the year 2022, we have brought its single-motor variant.
The price of this vehicle has been kept low to strengthen its base and increase its position in the Indian EV market. Hopefully this car will prove to be a milestone for us.
Range and Performance
Talking about performance and range, this electric car gives a WLTP certified range of 475 km on a single charge. Apart from this, with a power output of 238hp and torque of 420Nm, the XC40 Recharge accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 7.3 seconds.

The Volvo XC40 Recharge single motor variant has 7 airbags for safety. Apart from this, it has features like Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) features, tire pressure monitoring, lane keep assist and adaptive cruise control.
