Hero Splendor Xtec: Hero MotoCorp has introduced an updated version of its highly regarded Splendor motorcycle. Notably, this marks the first time the Splendor model is equipped with a disc brake. The Plus Xtec variant of the Splendor now features a front disc brake, enhancing its braking capabilities.

With this hardware upgrade, the new price of the motorcycle is set at Rs 83,461 (ex-showroom). In contrast, the drum brake variant remains priced at Rs 79,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Designe
The aesthetic and design elements of this model have largely remained unchanged. The updated version retains its slim and functional profile, making it suitable for everyday use. As a family-oriented motorcycle that has won the affection of countless customers over the years, it features a square headlight adorned with LED DRLs, which has become a signature characteristic of the Splendor.
Engine
In terms of performance, the Splendor Plus Xtec is powered by a 100cc single-cylinder engine that generates 7.09bhp and 8.05Nm of torque, paired with a four-speed transmission. The Xtec variant also boasts modern features, including a digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and a USB charging port.
The motorcycle’s hardware remains straightforward, featuring telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. As previously mentioned, the braking system now includes a front disc brake and rear drum brakes mounted on alloy wheels.
The new Splendor Plus Xtec is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that pumps out 8.02hp at 8,000rpm and 8.05Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox and features i3S technology to boost fuel efficiency. The bike is said to deliver an impressive mileage of 73 kmpl and has a fuel tank that holds 9.8 liters.
For a smooth ride, it’s equipped with telescopic forks in the front and adjustable twin shock absorbers in the rear with 5-step preload settings. The top model features 240mm front disc brakes and 130mm drum brakes at the back, while the standard version has 130mm drum brakes on both ends. It rolls on 80-section tubeless tires mounted on 18-inch wheels and boasts a ground clearance of 165 mm.
