XUV700 : XUV700 is working like hot cakes for Mahindra. The demand for this SUV is so high that people have to wait for a year for delivery. The company launched it on August 14, 2021. That is, it has completed a journey of 3 years. During these 3 years, it has also set many sales records in the domestic market. It has also set a new milestone with the sale of 2 lakh units.
Sales
The company sold 1,96,971 units of XUV700 till the end of July 2024, including 24,839 units in the first 4 months of FY 2025. Its ex-showroom prices range from Rs 13.99 to Rs 25.14 lakh. According to company data the 24,839 units sold in the April-July 2024 period, diesel variants accounted for 18,431 units or 74 per cent and the petrol variants approx only 6,408 units or 26 per cent.
There has been an increase in demand for diesel models compared to the same period last year, with the fuel accounting for 70.7 per cent of total sales.
The XUV700 sold 79,398 units in FY24, up 19 per cent year-on-year. This was its best fiscal year ever. The XUV700 was on 11th position in the executive midsize SI, behind Mahindra’s leader Scorpio (1,41,462 units) in the previous fiscal. In fact, XUV700 sales accounted for 27 per cent of Mahindra’s total FY24 sales.
In the financial year so far, the Mahindra XUV700 is ranked fourth in terms of model-wise sales with 24,839 units. The Scorpio twins lead the way with 53,068 units, followed by 32,501 units of the XUV300/3XO and 31,858 units of the Bolero. With the festive season starting soon, the XUV700 is expected to gain a strong foothold in the market.
XUV700 Prices and Variants
The Mahindra XUV700 can be bought in 5 and 7 seater configurations. It also gets multiple powertrain options. It comes in a total of 44 variants. This includes 19 petrol and 25 diesel. The petrol XUV700 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged mStallion engine The diesel XUV700 is available with two different tunes for the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Global NCAP has given it a 5-star safety rating.
