Honda Activa e: Honda has officially opened bookings for its much-awaited electric scooters, the Activa e: and QC1 in India. The Japanese manufacturer has announced that these electric scooters can be booked at official dealerships in Bengaluru, Hoskote, Mumbai, Thane, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Pune, Baramati, and other cities. Customers interested in booking the Activa e: or the QC1 can do so by paying a minimum booking amount of Rs 1,000.
The Honda Activa e: and QC1 electric scooters were recently showcased in India. The Activa e: is the company’s flagship electric scooter. It has a simple yet attractive styling and is packed with features like a TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, incoming call alert, and navigation in the top variants.
Features of Honda Activa e:
The Activa e: gets a pair of 1.5kWh swappable batteries. With a total capacity of 3kWh, Honda claims that the scooter can cover a distance of 102km on a single charge. These batteries are charged only at Honda’s battery swapping stations and the company claims to have plans to set up a dense network across India shortly.
Activa e: Features a swingarm-mounted motor with an output of 6kW that propels the scooter from 0-60kmph in 7.3 seconds. The scooter comes with three modes – Eco, Standard, and Sport and can reach a top speed of 80kmph.
Honda QC1: Budget-friendly option
On the other hand, the Honda QC1 is a more budget-friendly electric scooter with a 1.8kW BLDC motor that can take the scooter to a top speed of 50kmph. The QC1 comes with two ride modes – Eco and Standard.
The opening of bookings for Honda’s electric scooters is an indication of the growing popularity of electric vehicles in the Indian market. Both Activa e and QC1 offer good options in their respective segments. However, information about their price and other specifications is yet to be revealed.
