Renault cars will get CNG technology

Renault will now also introduce CNG technology in its cars. On February 24, 2025, the company announced that it would launch its hatchback cars, the Renault Kwid, the budget MPV Renault Triber and the Renault Kiger, which is offered as a compact SUV with CNG.

The company will not be equipped with CNG

Renault is offering its cars with CNG technology, but they will not be offered a factory-fitted CNG, but a retrofitting kit is offered by Renault. In such a situation, if a person wants to install CNG in his Renault car, he will have to go to the company’s approval dealer and the CNG kit can be installed.

Position will be strengthened in India

“Venkataram M, Managing Director, Renault India, said, “”We are always working on new technology and eco-friendly practises.” Keeping this in mind, we have given the option of installing government-approved CNG kits in all our models. This means that by installing CNG kits in their Renault cars, customers will be able to run them on petrol as well as CNG. The company believes that this will make Renault cars even more accessible and useable, and will not diminish their status in India.

How much do you have to pay?

Renault has been informed that an additional price will have to be paid to install CNG in the company’s cars. For the hatchback car Quid, the CNG kit can be installed by paying Rs 75 thousand in addition to the vehicle price. At the same time, you have to pay Rs 79500 to install the CNG kit in Triber and Kiger.

There will be no effect on the warranty

If a person has a CNG kit installed in a Renault car by a dealer who has not been approved by the company, the car’s warranty will not expire. On CNG fittings, a three-year warranty will be given by the company itself.
