LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana: On 9 December, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bima Sakhi Yojana in Panipat, Haryana. The objective of this program is to enable women to achieve financial independence and become self-sufficient.

All women participating in the Bima Sakhi scheme will receive a total exceeding 2 lakh rupees over the 3-year training period. In this timeframe, 7 thousand rupees will be provided in the first year, 6 thousand in the second year, and 5 thousand rupees monthly in the third year.

Women who have completed the 10th standard will also be deemed eligible for the Bima Sakhi scheme of LIC. In addition to this, every woman aged between 18 and 70 years can benefit from this scheme. Women who join this program will be referred to as ‘Bima Sakhi’.

10th standard qualified women can apply for the yojana

Women who have completed the 10th standard will also qualify for LIC’s Bima Sakhi program. In addition to this, all women aged 18 to 70 can take advantage of this scheme’s benefits. Women who join this program will be referred to as ‘Bima Sakhi’.

Criteria for Bima Sakhi Yojana Eligibility

Bima Sakhi Yojana is exclusively for women.

For this program, it is essential for women to possess a Matriculation/High School/10th pass certificate.

To participate in this program, women must be aged between 18 and 70 years.

Under this plan, women will be deemed qualified to serve as insurance agents following three years of training.

Women can become LIC agents

Through the Bima Sakhi initiative, women can become LIC agents upon completing three years of training. Nonetheless, they will not be chosen as permanent employees of LIC, nor will they receive the advantages of full-time regular employees.
