The central government announced Da Hike

The central government had announced a 3% increase in dearness allowance. It will be effective from July 1, 2024. Earlier in March, the government had increased DA / DR by four percentage points to 50 per cent from January 1, 2024. The central government has about 49.18 lakh employees and 64.89 lakh pensioners.

Let us tell you that different states of the country have also announced an increase in dearness allowance. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has announced a 4% increase in the dearness allowance of state government employees.

With this, dearness allowance in the state will now be 50% of the basic salary. Employees will get the benefit of a dearness allowance from October 1. The state government employees have been demanding DA equal to the centre for a long time, and it has now been approved by Chief Minister Sai.

The Sikkim government has also increased the dearness allowance of its employees by four per cent. On the other hand, the Himachal Pradesh government has also increased employee allowances.
