DA Hike 2025: The new year has begun; in such a situation, the eyes of government employees and pensioners are fixed on the increase in dearness allowance (DA). Amidst rising inflation, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh has given good news to the state government employees. Biren Singh has announced a 7 per cent increase in dearness allowance (DA) for government employees from January 2025.
With this hike, DA has increased to 39per cent. During this time, Biren Singgaveen provided information about many current government initiatives, from supporting business people to startup undertakings. The CM said the state government has provided loans to 426 internally displaced people without guarantee under the Chief Minister Entrepreneurship Assistance Scheme.
How much less than the employees of the Center
At present, central employees receive a 53 per cent dearness allowance. Manipur government employees receive a 14 per cent less allowance than the Center. The 53 per cent allowed is for December. It will increase once again in the new year. Actually, according to the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission, the dearness allowance is increased twice a year for central employees.
Loan without any guarantee
Manipur Chief Minister Biren Singh has discussed many existing government schemes, from supporting entrepreneurs to startups. The CM said the state government had given loans to 426 internally displaced people without guarantee under the Chief Minister Entrepreneurship Assistance Scheme. Under this program, the government offers loans of Rs 50,000 without any guarantee to people displaced due to ethnic violence.
He said that seven startups have been identified so far and are ready to give employment to 432 displaced people. The Chief Minister also said about 500 would be provided with residential skills training in Delhi to join Air India and Indigo as flight crew members.
