How much will the DA be?
The central government can increase the DA by up to 2 per cent. After this, the DA of the employees will increase to 55 per cent because right now, the benefit of 53 per cent DA is being received. This will be the DA of the first half of the year 2025. The benefit of which will be available from January 1, 2025. Earlier, DA was increased by 3% in October. It was expected that this gift could be received on the occasion of Holi, but it could not happen.
How much will the salary increase be?
If the central government increases DA by 2%, there will be a bumper increase in salary. DA will increase to 55%. If your salary is Rs 40,000, then a bumper increase in DA will be by 2%.
On this salary, Rs 800 will be increased every month. If we calculate for one year, we will see an increase of Rs 9600, proving to be a significant gift. This amount will work like a dose in inflation.
How many times DA increases in a year
According to the 7th Pay Commission, DA rates increase twice yearly. The increased DA rates are considered effective from January 1 and July 1. The government increases DA to relieve employees of inflation. Now, all the employees eagerly await the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. However, the government has already approved it.
