Although it will be announced by the central government in October, but no official announcement has been made about it yet. Last year, the first week of October saw an increase in the DA. According to sources, the government can announce a 3-4 percent DA hike in October before Diwali.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath can make a big announcement for his employees before Diwali. Before Diwali, dearness allowance can be increased by 4 percent for 15 lakh employees and 8 lakh pensioners. However, the central government will announce the increase in dearness allowance first.
The Uttar Pradesh government’s announcement of an increase in dearness allowance is expected to benefit approximately 15 lakh state government employees. Last year, a bonus of about Rs 7000 was allotted to the employees. We anticipate a slight increase in the bonus this time.
On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to increase the dearness allowance by up to 64% in the upcoming financial year 2025-26. For the financial year 2025-26, the Madhya Pradesh government has instructed that the amount for dearness allowance be kept at 64 percent.
How Much Is the Salary Hike Expected?
If someone’s salary is Rs 30,000 per month and his basic salary is Rs 18,000, he will now get Rs 9,000 as dearness allowance, which is 50 percent of the basic salary. However, after the 3 percent hike, the employee will get Rs 9,540 per month. However, with a 4 percent DA hike, the employee will get a revised DA of Rs 9,720 per month.
Government employees receive DA, while pensioners receive DR. DA and DR are increased twice a year – January and July. Currently, more than one crore central government employees and pensioners are getting 50 per cent dearness allowance.
