Big update is revealed bow regarding 8th Pay Commission. If you are also a govt employee then today’s article is for you. Central government employees and pensioners are eagerly waiting for the announcement of the formation of the 8th Pay Commission by the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. If you are a government employee, then great news has come for you. The minimum basic salary of government employees can be increased from 18 thousand to 51 thousand.
Government employees will get this much salary
After the 7th Pay Commission, people are now waiting for the 8th Pay Commission. If this commission is formed, then there can be a big increase in the salary and pension of the employees. In such a situation, there will be an automatic increment in salary due to the increase in fitment factor. At present, employees get a minimum basic salary of Rs 18,000 under the 7th Pay Commission. In the 6th to 7th Pay Commission, there was an increase of Rs 7,000.
At the same time, after the fitment factor of 2.86 in the 7th to 8th Pay Commission, the minimum basic salary can increase from Rs 18,000 to Rs 51,480. After the 8th Pay Commission is constituted, it will come up with recommendations for pay and pension adjustments in line with the current economic scenario of the country.
The government may take a decision soon
The Commission is not only focusing on salary and pension adjustment but also on revising the Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances. Dearness allowance, which is necessary to mitigate the effects of inflation, is usually reviewed every two years. Along with the changes in the basic pay, the DA and other allowances are also expected to be revised upwards, which will further increase the compensation package of central government employees and pensioners.
The Government of India has not made a formal announcement of setting up the 8th Pay Commission, but speculations are rife that it may be announced during the upcoming Union Budget.
