8th Pay Commission: Central government employees eagerly await the 8th Pay Commission. However, the government has currently refused to form it. This information was revealed in the Finance Ministry’s answer in the Rajya Sabha.

The seventh pay commission was implemented in 2016. After its implementation, the minimum salary increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 18000 per month, and the maximum wage was up to Rs 2.5 lakh per month. Usually, a new pay commission is formed every 10 years.

The central employee organizations continuously demand the formation of the 8th Pay Commission. SB Yadav, General Secretary of the Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers, has also requested forming the 8th Pay Commission through a written letter to PM Modi. The General Secretary said the central employees were revised last January 1, 2016.

Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget

The Modi government at the Center will present the second general budget of the 3.0 regime in the House on February 1, 2025. Employees hope that the government will open some treasure boxes with this budget. The employee class is hopeful that the government will take some surprising decisions conforming the 8th Pay Commission. However, the government has not said anything significant about the formation of the 8th Pay Commission yet.
