New Delhi: The financial year 2025-26 will be a boon for the central employees. The government is going to give not one but double gifts. The central government gave the green signal to the 8th Pay Commission in January, after which all the employees and pensioners eagerly awaited its formation. The review work on the 8th Pay Commission will start only after its formation, which is also to be implemented next year.

In such a situation, it is expected that the government can implement the 8th Pay Commission on January 1, 2026. With this, the salariesees will jump like cheecheetahsh and work like a booster dose in inflation. However, no one has said anything officially yet. This big claim is being made based on media reports.

Pay Commissions are implemented in ten years

Do you know that after every ten years, the Government of India implements a new pay commission for central employees? The state government also implements a new pay commission at its level so their employees can benefit from it.

The 7th Pay Commission will complete ten years by December 31, 2025, after which a new pay commission can be implemented. If the ten-year process is considered paramount, then the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission will be implemented on January 1, 2026, after which there is a possibility of a substantial salary increase.

How much can the salary increase?

As soon as the recommendations of the 8th Pay Commission are implemented, the salary and pension of central employees are expected to increase considerably. The minimum wage of central employees is expected to be increased from Rs 18,000 to about Rs 34,560 per month. Additionally, an increase of about 92% can be seen in the minimum salary. The minimum pension for pensioners is also likely to increase to Rs 17,280.

There will also be a gift on the DA.

Central employees can also get the gift of DA any day now. This time, the government will increase DA by up to 2 per cent. After this, the DA of central employees will increase to 55 per cent. Currently, employees are getting the benefit of 53 per cent DA, which will be a massive salary increase. Nothing has been said officially yet on the DA increase date.
