Now it’s very easy to make an Aadhaar and PAN card. Yes, you’ve heard it right. The government is going to give big relief to the people of India. The Government of India has launched the Digital India Common Service Center (DICSC) project on Friday. Initiated by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, the project aims to bridge the digital divide in rural India and ensure access to digital services for every citizen.
Govt’s big project
This project will start in Pilibhit and Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, one model DICSC center will be set up in all gram panchayats of 10 districts; this will create 4,740 centers across the country. These centers will provide a range of services, including Aadhaar enrollment, banking, financial planning, tele-law, telemedicine, education, and e-commerce support.
1273 Service Centers in Gorakhpur
720 DICSC centers will be set up in Pilibhit, while 1,273 centers will be set up in Gorakhpur. Apart from this, 870 DICSC centers will be set up in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Maharashtra), 309 in Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), 589 in Khammam (Telangana), 288 in Gandhinagar (Gujarat), 100 in Mamit (Mizoram), 415 in Jodhpur (Rajasthan), 95 in Leh (Ladakh), and 81 in Puducherry.
The budget of this project is Rs 31.60 crore
has been determined. It will initially last for six months, which is likely to extend by nine months. These digital centers will provide financial and commercial services as well as essential e-governance services to rural citizens. CSC e-Governance Services India will manage and implement centralized technical monitoring of these centers, which will open up employment opportunities and enhance digital literacy, the ministry said.
