Funding for upgrades is on the way

The government is also prioritizing the upgrade of railway stations. As a result, we might hear about which stations will be modernized under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme in the Union Budget 2025.

 

The budget will focus on enhancing safety in railway travel. Experts suggest that around Rs 12,000 crore could be set aside to roll out the Kavach system across the entire rail network. There might also be some additional announcements regarding passenger amenities in the budget. Analysts think that the average speed of passenger trains could see an increase.
