What is the Ashirwad Scheme?
The Bhagwant Mann-led government had recently launched the ‘Ashirwad Yojana’ for the betterment of girls, in which girls were given Rs 51,000. Two girls from needy families can take advantage of this scheme.
Valid for girls up to 18 years old
The benefit of this scheme can be availed of by girls of 18 years. Under this scheme, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 51,000 for the marriage of girls up to 18 years of age.
Objective of Ashirvad Yojana
With the aim of providing financial help to the poor and needy, the state government is running this scheme so that people can now easily marry their girls and girls will not be burdened with them.

This scheme started in 1997. Earlier people knew this scheme as ‘Shagun Scheme’ but later it was named Ashirvad Yojana.

2004: Rs 6,100
2006: 15,000
2017: Rs 21,000
2021: Rs 51,000
Even now, an amount of Rs 51,000 is given for the marriage of girls in this scheme.
