Ayushman Bharat Yojana: Under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana under Ayushman Bharat, now thousands of such elderly people of the district, who were not able to get their diseases treated due to lack of money, will also be able to get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh.
2 lakh 13 thousand 123 families eligible
By going to any PHC, CHC or district hospital, you will be able to get a golden card made for the facility of free treatment by showing Aadhar card, ration card at the counter established under Ayushman Bharat.
So far, 9 lakh 94 thousand 41 beneficiaries are included in the district. Out of these, golden cards of 7 lakh 86 thousand 314 beneficiaries have been made.
There are a total of 1 lakh 78 thousand 652 families in the district, who have at least one golden card available.
Now the central government has announced to provide free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to all the elderly above 70 years of age.
Thousands of elderly people in the district will be able to benefit from this.
The health department will collect data of elderly people above 70 years of age and will benefit them.
If any person is above 70 years of age in the families already taking advantage of Ayushman Bharat Yojana, then a separate card will be made for the elderly.
Elderly people from poor families said
It has home to light that now the government will provide free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh to the elderly above 70 years of age. The financial condition of my family is very bad. I have two sons, they also do not want to get me treated. In such a situation, now free treatment facility will be available under the government scheme.
I have been suffering from respiratory disease for a long time. I am an asthma patient. It is becoming very difficult to get treatment due to lack of money. There is very little agricultural land. I used to run the house by doing labour. Under the government scheme, free treatment will be arranged, what can be better than this.
Ayushman Card Scheme has been going on for a long time but Ayushman is not needed in treatment yet. People above 70 years of age have been included in the Ayushman Yojana by the Prime Minister. Now they will go to a big hospital for eye treatment.
Earlier people above 70 years of age were not getting the benefit of the Ayushman Yojana. They were suffering from many kinds of diseases.
Children used to get treatment. Due to lack of money, the treatment was not done properly. Now they will get treatment with the Ayushman card.
