How Bank Holidays Are Decided

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) prepares the bank holiday list for the entire country. RBI designs this list based on regional and state festivals, as well as weekly and national holidays. Each city has a different bank holiday list, so RBI advises everyone to check it before visiting a bank. Banks remain closed across the country every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month.
